KTV Primary School Enrollment

KIPP: TECH VALLEY Primary Charter School will open with four sections of kindergarten classes in August of 2016. With each year following, a new class of kindergarten students will be enrolled and the previous cohort will be promoted. When fully grown in the 2020-2021 school year, KTVP will serve four sections of students in grades K through four. Students will then attend KIPP: TECH VALLEY Charter Middle School for their fifth through eighth grade experience. The focus of both the culture and the curriculum of the school is based in the Whole Child Approach to Learning and emphasizes the real world application of knowledge, skills, and character habits learned in school. KIPP: TECH VALLEY Primary Charter School also aims to ensure that the curriculum is context responsive in addition to ensuring students are on the trajectory to college readiness according to the New York State Common Core Standards.

Do you know a current preschool student that would benefit from joining the KIPP: TECH VALLEY team and family in August? Click here to visit KIPP: TECH VALLEY Primary Charter School's website and learn more about enrolling in our founding class of Kindergarten students.

Dolphins go maroon: Kippsters earn their shirts!

Congratulations to Nazirah M. and Treasure E. who earned their grade 5 uniform shirts this past week.  Both Kippsters demonstrated tremendous grit, self-control, and optimism in order to get the job done and join the grade 5 team and family in maroon.  As their teacher leader and homeroom teacher I am super proud of both students.  I also wanted to shout out the families of these students for their support as well.  Nazirah and Treasure you are both yet another example of the KIPP credo, "When you make good choices, good things happen!"  Keep up the great work!

Great Improvements in ELA 5

I wanted to give a shout out to a number of teammates in ELA 5 who have been working hard in Mr. Jason's Choices Reading class.  The following Kippsters have demonstrated grit and zest for their learning over the past week and after putting in the work, the results surely have come.  A huge shout out to two Dolphins, Denise & Aniviah in Le Moyne who both improved their tests by over 20 points each from the past fiction assessment to this week's test.  Shout outs to Jahmir for a perfect score in St. Rose and Aryanna for improving over 22 points!!  Finally, way to go to two Flying Dragons, Lilith for perfection and Kyloni (Oneonta) who improved an incredible 24 points from last week to this week.  These students have shown when we are making good choices in class and are putting in  our best effort we will see fantastic results.  I could not be more proud of these teammates.  Keep up the great work!
