100% passing!

Congratulations to Ms. Martino and our most recent class of 8th graders. 97% of the students in grade 8 took the common core integrated algebra regents. 100% of the kids who took the exam earned high school credit! This is the second time that has happened at KTV, but this was the largest class to do it. You're high school experience is off to a great start, as you are already ahead of the game. To stay there, you will have to work even harder!

Finish Strong Kippsters

With only a few weeks to go and summer right around the corner, it is important that we finish strong.  I wanted to take the opportunity to encourage KIPPSTERS in grade 5 and throughout our school to work hard through the final day of this school year.  At KIPP we talk about, "If you want to be the best, you have to work the hardest."  This is very true and our hard work and effort over these next few weeks will pay large dividends in the end.  We also so often hear, "It is not about how you start, but about how you finish."  Just like in a race, it is crucial that all of us at KTV to complete the 2015-2016 school year by giving our best effort in the classroom when it comes to our academics and with our choices so we can finish out the year on top.  Certainly how we finish this year matters and will be how we begin next school year.  I encourage each of you to work hard and be nice and remember that good things come to those who make good choices!

Red Dragon Flying High

This shout out goes to an Oneonta Red Dragon who has been flying high lately in ELA class!  A huge LDS to Malachi Y. who has really shown some great improvement in ELA 5 over the past few weeks.  I commend you for your grit and focus.  Your hard work is really yielding some nice results on both your assessments and projects.  Way to go Malachi!  Keep up the good work.
